Import and export pricing
Open Price lists and choose Import and export.
Export
Section titled “Export”Download bundle (JSON) saves everything in one file: your draft and active price lists with their settings, rules, fixed prices and quantity breaks, plus company prices and which location has which group. Archived groups and scheduled next versions aren’t included. Upload the file to another store that runs Termpact to copy your pricing there.
You can also download one CSV file per part to edit in a spreadsheet:
| File | One row per | Columns |
|---|---|---|
groups.csv |
price list | name, status (draft or active), base_percent, rounding (none, r99, r95, r05), exclude_sale_items (yes or no), min_margin_percent, active_from, active_to, notice_days |
rules.csv |
percentage rule | group, scope (collection, vendor, type, tag, product, variant), value, shopify_id, percent, position |
fixed_prices.csv |
variant and currency | group, sku, variant_id, title, currency, price |
breaks.csv |
quantity tier and currency | group, target (product or variant), value, shopify_id, count_mode, min_qty, currency, price |
overrides.csv |
company price | company_external_id, company, location, sku, variant_id, title, currency, price |
assignments.csv |
location | company_external_id, company, location, group |
Percentages are numbers like 12.5. Prices are in the currency’s main unit with a dot for decimals, like 14.50. Dates look like 2026-12-31. Collection, vendor, product type and tag rules apply in position order (the first match wins).
How items are matched in another store
Section titled “How items are matched in another store”Store IDs are different in every store, so the files name things the way both stores know them:
- Variants by SKU.
- Products and collections by handle.
- Vendors, product types and tags by their text.
- Locations by the company’s external ID (or its name when it has none) and the location’s name.
- Price lists by name. A name the store doesn’t have creates a new group (your plan’s group limit applies).
The Shopify ID columns are only used when the same store reads its own file back, for variants without a SKU or products without a handle.
Import
Section titled “Import”Upload one JSON bundle, or any of the CSV files with their names unchanged, and choose Check files. Nothing is saved yet: Termpact shows, for each price list, what is added, changed and removed, and lists:
- Problems to fix — a price that isn’t a number, an unknown group, a fixed price above the regular price, and so on. Fix the file and check it again.
- Rows that will be skipped — products, variants or locations this store doesn’t have.
Choose Import changes to save everything at once. If someone changed pricing in the meantime, Termpact asks you to check the files again.
What an import replaces:
- Each file you upload replaces that part for every price list it names, and for every group in
groups.csv. For example, a group listed ingroups.csvwith no rows in an uploadedfixed_prices.csvloses its fixed prices. - Groups the files don’t name, and files you don’t upload, stay as they are.
overrides.csvreplaces the company prices of each location it names.assignments.csvgives each location named its group; an empty group removes it.
Checkout prices update within a few minutes, as after any pricing change. Every import is recorded in the activity history.
