Migrate from another wholesale app

The migration wizard turns tagged wholesale customers into Shopify B2B companies and turns the old app’s pricing rules into Termpact price lists. Nothing changes in your store until you apply the plan, and live prices only switch when you press Go live. You can roll back for 14 days after applying.

Open it from Migration wizard in the Termpact menu.

  • Your store needs Shopify B2B (Shopify Plus, or a plan that includes B2B).
  • Turn on new customer accounts (Shopify admin → Settings → Customer accounts). B2B buyers can’t sign in with legacy accounts, so the wizard won’t apply a plan while they’re on.
  • Check that your Termpact plan has room for the companies you’ll create. The plan shows this before you apply.

Pick BSS B2B / Wholesale Solution, Wholesale Pricing Discount, Wholesale Gorilla, or Another app or a spreadsheet. You can change this until you apply.

Scan store reads your customers’ tags, the automatic discounts other apps have created, and your customer account and B2B settings. It doesn’t change anything.

Tags that look like wholesale tiers (for example wholesale, tier-2, gold, net30) are marked. Tags such as net30 also set the company’s payment terms.

The scan reads up to 25,000 customers. Larger stores can migrate one group of tags at a time.

3. Upload the old app’s export (optional)

Section titled “3. Upload the old app’s export (optional)”

Upload the pricing export from the old app as a CSV file:

  • BSS B2B: Pricing rules → Export. Upload the file as it is.
  • Other apps and spreadsheets: any CSV with one rule per row. The wizard guesses which column is which; if it can’t, you choose the columns yourself (discount or price, customer tag or email, what it applies to, products or SKUs, minimum quantity).

Without a file, customers still move by tag, and you set prices in Termpact afterwards.

Rows that can’t be read, and rules Termpact can’t carry over, are listed with what to do instead. For example, Termpact never raises prices, so a “price increase” rule should become a higher base price in Shopify.

Each wholesale tag becomes a price list with the same name. Give two tags the same group name to merge them, or tick Ignore. Tags from your export are filled in for you.

Build plan shows exactly what applying would create: price lists, companies, contacts, rules, fixed prices, quantity breaks and customer-specific prices, plus how long it will take. Nothing is created yet. You can download the plan as a CSV file.

The wizard proposes one company per customer, named from the company field of their default address. Customers who share a company name or an email domain (other than free email providers) are proposed as one company with several contacts. Tick Split to keep them apart. Customers who are already contacts of a company keep that company.

Customers without a default address are skipped, since a company location needs an address. Locations already priced by Termpact are skipped too.

Tick Pilot on up to 50 companies to test with first.

Apply plan creates everything in Shopify in the background. You can leave the page. If something fails part-way, the wizard retries, and if a company can’t be finished, only what this migration created for it is removed.

Pilot companies get Termpact prices straight away. Everyone else is linked to their price list but keeps the old app’s prices until you go live.

In Shopify admin, duplicate your live theme and add the Termpact app embed to the copy. Enter the copy’s theme ID on the Go live page to get a preview link, then sign in as a pilot buyer and check prices. Termpact never edits your themes.

Before you press Go live:

  1. Turn off the old app’s automatic discounts (the page lists the ones it found). Discounts from two apps can combine at checkout.
  2. Publish the duplicate theme, or add the app embed to your live theme.
  3. Uninstall the old app once prices look right.

Go live gives every migrated location its price list.

For 14 days after applying, Roll back removes Termpact prices from every migrated location (prices go back to Shopify’s, or the old app’s if it’s still running) and archives the price lists the migration created. You can also delete the companies it created; companies with orders since the migration are kept.
