Troubleshooting contract prices

In Termpact, open Today and choose Test my pricing on the setup step, or go to Test my pricing directly. Termpact picks one of your company locations that has a price list and up to 5 products, asks Shopify what that location pays for them, and compares the answer with the contract prices Termpact expects. Nothing is ordered or saved in Shopify. The test also runs by itself once, a few minutes after you give the first company location a price list.

The result is one of:

  • Shopify charges the contract prices Termpact expects. Everything works.
  • Some prices differ. The table shows each product with its regular price, the contract price Termpact expects and what Shopify charges. Termpact is told about every difference. Often a change you just made is still being sent to Shopify: wait a few minutes and run the test again.
  • Discounts for B2B appear to be off for your store. See below.

Shopify applies app discounts to B2B orders on new B2B stores. On some stores that used B2B before June 2026, Shopify turns discounts for B2B on only when you ask. When the test finds that Shopify applied no discount at all, it shows a message you can copy and send to Shopify Support. Once Shopify has turned discounts on, run the test again.

Termpact applies contract prices at checkout through one automatic discount, Termpact contract prices. If someone deactivates or deletes it in Discounts, buyers pay your regular prices at checkout. Termpact notices within minutes, shows a red banner on every Termpact page and emails the store owner.

Choose Restore on the banner. Termpact turns the discount back on, or creates it again if it was deleted, and keeps all your price lists. Store owners, admins and pricing managers can restore it.

Shopify allows 25 active automatic discounts per store, including Termpact’s. The setup checklist on Today warns you from 24.

Check, in this order:

  1. Is the buyer signed in as a B2B customer? Contract prices apply only when the buyer shops for a company location.
  2. Does their company location have a price list? Open Customers and check the location’s price list.
  3. Is the price list active? A group with a start date in the future, or an end date in the past, doesn’t apply.
  4. Is the product in the group? Open the simulator with the company location to see the price and why.
  5. Is the product on sale? If the group excludes sale items, products with a compare-at price keep their sale price.
  6. Is the contract price above the regular price? Termpact never charges more than your regular price; Check a price flags these products.

The storefront shows “Your price in cart”

Section titled “The storefront shows “Your price in cart””

The product page or grid shows Your price in cart where Termpact can’t show the exact price before checkout: on a theme Termpact doesn’t support yet, in another currency than your price list, or after a price check found a difference. The cart and checkout always show the exact price. Make sure the app embed is on in Settings → Online store.

Prices changed but checkout shows the old price

Section titled “Prices changed but checkout shows the old price”

Changes reach checkout within about a minute. Large changes (thousands of products) can take a few minutes. Termpact also checks every hour that the prices stored in Shopify are the ones it wrote, and rewrites any that are missing. While a price is missing, the buyer pays the regular price, never a wrong contract price.
