Disputes
Mark an invoice as disputed from its page when a buyer questions it (wrong quantity, damaged goods, a price they didn’t agree to). While the dispute is open:
- payment reminders for that invoice pause;
- it still counts towards the location’s credit balance, unless you turned that off in Settings → Credit;
- it stays in its aging bucket, marked as disputed.
Money owed → Disputes lists open disputes with how long they’ve been open. Open one to resolve it:
| Outcome | What happens |
|---|---|
| Buyer will pay in full | The invoice is open again and reminders resume (steps that fell inside the dispute aren’t sent late) |
| Dispute withdrawn | Same as above |
| Issue a credit note | A numbered credit note for the amount you agree; the rest stays open |
| Write off the rest | What’s still open is written off |
Every step is kept in the invoice’s history.
